Council Chief Alfred Doucette, Mardi Gras Indian/Entertainer
New Orleans, Louisiana
In addition to his role as an entertainer and Mardi Gras Indian Chief Alfred is also a general contractor who has felt the "ripple effect" of the oil spill fallout. Most of his employees have left to work for BP to do oil spill clean up - a job that can pay them more than Chief Doucette can afford. Chief Doucette was another New Orleans resident we met while talking to folks at the Vetter lumber yard in St.Bernard Parish.
