Danny Sain, Fisherman/Crabber/Oil Spill Cleanup Worker
Hopedale, Louisiana

Having first changed his way of living from a carpenter to a fisherman after the Katrina disaster, Danny has now had to change yet again. Because he is now unable to fish and crab he hasĀ  been working with BP on the cleanup -- a task that doesn't sit too well with him. With the glint in his eye of the charming boy next door he explained how he's making the best of a bad situation.
We met Danny on the front porch of Diane's house on the road to the Hopedale Marina. A "Defend our Coast" sign posted on her front door inspired us to pull over.
