We met these gentleman at a meeting hosted by the Department of Commerce in East New Orleans. The meeting was held to hear directly from minority fisherman groups about how the oil spill is impacting their community and livelihood. Both of these men were very distraught over the lack of work and lack of assistance they were receiving. Their primary and immediate concerns were how they were going to support their families.
