Nolan Rollins, CEO-Urban League of Greater New Orleans
New Orleans, LA
As a tireless community leader who voluntarily came to New Orleans after Katrina, Nolan Rollins has learned to keep his sleeves rolled up and nose to the grindstone. He spoke to us not only as an advocate for the people in the communities feeling the impact of the oil spill but also as someone with the objective perspective of a "Yankee." He explained to us that this is a community that is built on two things: the water (i.e. seafood business) and the oil business. He is steadfast in his belief that Louisiana needs both short-term help as well as long-term solutions.
